Stoner Minute

A stoner minute is now officially 7 minutes. Within 7 minutes there are 420 seconds. Typically a stoner minute is used to have a nice session to yourself.

Joe: You coming over yet?

Jeremy: Give me a stoner minute, gotta finish up this shad

*7 minutes later*

Jeremy: ON MY WAY.!

When your mother talks to an old friends she hasn’t seen in years, she could say “One more minute.” Yet she takes a whole HOUR to wrap up the boring conversation.

Timmy: Mom! We have to get home! It’s a school night, you know. Mom: One more minute and I’ll be done. 1 HOUR LATER Timmy: Mom, that wasn’t a minute. That was a MOM MINUTE.

May refer to a short or long period of time depending on how the term is used in a sentence. Examples below:

‘relax, I’ll be there in a hot minute’ - SHORT
‘bro, it’s been a hot minute!’ - LONG

GVB minute

A GVB minute is an undefined amount of seconds a minute can last. The Amsterdam Public Transport Company (GVB) has the tendency to display the amount of minutes a tram or metro should arrive but one GVB minute can be five real minutes.

“Sarah at what time will you arrive? I don’t know Julia. My metro should be here within 3 GVB minutes. Oww, okay than I have some time to walk the dog.”
