A greenhop is a big change from something old and boring to something new and fresh. Used in a career change, fashion and social situations.

Based on the expression "to be green" meaning inexperienced and is rooted in the concept that new shoots and sprouts are green, symbolising new growth and opportunities.

Greenhopper can refer to a person who is entering a new industry, but has trained and worked in another. It can also refer to someone having a glow-up or style makeover.

"This industry isn't lighting me up anymore - I'm doing a greenhop."

discreet greet

When two people are walking down the street and the two don't now how to acknoledge each other. One invariably says hi or how are you AS they pass and you have to pause turn around and yell a response or look like an ass for not saying anything.

*as passing* "hey"

*pauses.. turns* "uhh.. hey!"

Burris Greeting

A Burris Greeting is very similar to the "Burris wave" its the act of flipping a friend off as a joke or for fun when the teacher is not looking. Not meant to be a mean gesture. Can be used when a student makes a stupid comment or makes a joke about you and you don't have time for a comeback.

student 1: (knocks student 2's stuff)
student 2: why did you do that?!
student 1: your mom forgot to pay me
student 2: ,,|,, (or Burris greeting)

Motherfucker greeting

where guys call each other motherfucker when they greet each other. They are not being insulting to each other and it is a display of affection. The difference between this and an insult is in tone of voice and body language ect.

Man 1: hey I haven't seen you in a long time. You doing motherfucker?
Man 2: just fine. How are you doing motherfucker?
Man1: Great.
And that is an example of a motherfucker greeting.
