DC Metro Area

The DC Metro Area is the name given to the metropolitan area that is DC, Northern Virginia (commonly called by the locals as NOVA), and the Prince George, Montgomery, and sometimes Howard and/or Fredrick counties of Maryland. It sometimes includes Jefferson County, West Virginia due to many commuters living in the area. More commonly, it applies to the area that is connected by bus and train (locally known as Metro). The DC metro area is connected together by the WMATA through its flagship "Metro" bus and rail brand. It is also aided by smaller bus routes in Maryland and Northern Virginia (Fairfax Connector), ART (Arlington Transit), REX, PRTC etc).

I live in the DC Metro Area. Having a car is not a must here but it is more convinient. You can get to major parts of the DC metro area through the Metro Bus, Color coded Metro Rail. Fairfax Connector, Arlington Transit (ART), Richmond Highway Express (REX), Prince William Transit (PRTC/OmniBus), and other small bus routes. The only inconvenience is that you have to live in a lenient urban area to be serviced. It is rare to see a bus in the suburbs (such as Fairfax Station) than it is near major well known cities (Springfield, Alexiandria - Which is divided into Mt. Vernon, Hybla Valley, Franconia, Kingstowne, Belle Haven, Ft. Hunt and Huntington)

bay area

Generally, the nine counties that have contact with San Francisco Bay. Clockwise they are: Contra Costa, Alameda, Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Napa and Solano counties.

The Bay Area is very distinct and unmistakable to those who are familiar with it's culture and lifestyle. Outsiders often don't get it. You can't fake being from the bay. When you say "frisco", you give yourself away. Bay Area people don't say that.

The term Bay Area as mentioned, almost invariably refers to the San Francisco Bay Area. Other regions that carry this name only do so within their local areas. Some other terms heard in the bay area such as "the south bay" are used in a few other places, most notably in San Diego where there is also a south bay.

Musical Adrenaline

Musical adrenaline is music, or something that gives you such energy that it could be possibly reffered to as "musical orgasm" as defined on this site, but I would call it something that gives you such energy that you are led to start head-banging uncontrolably, and to do backflips and some major wailing on a guitar, or just bang on drums so that your emotion can be let out upon the world in such great extremes that you either break the drum set, or you start sweating so profusely that you pass out, and then wake up again and start doing it again because the music gives you so much musical adrenaline.

Person1: Damn, Jimmy had so much musical adrenaline he passed out last nigh.

Person2: Whoa, gimme a dose of that music he was listenin to.
