May be either a small organized group or a large unorganized group of young fanatical females. They suffer an absurd affinity for a randomly chosen object of obsession and base their life/daily schedual around it. Not necessarily a male object of interest, although this is most common. Can possibly be a clothing line, makeup brand, latest skater look, and stupid-looking,annoying flip-flop sandals made out of cheap mesh and spraypaint.

Many young females are obsessed with Juicy, Ambercrombie & Fitch, and Hollister. This is the only line of clothing they will wear. If they are forced to wear something from Dillard's or Taget they are overcome with a squealy, whiney voice and bitch about how *fat* and *ugly* they look.

IMMEDIATE REMEDY: tell them to be quiet and go throw up again.

In a fangir's room, several fangirls sit on the floor and stare at large poster of Orlando Bloom. They do not notice the drool running down their chin.

Many fangirls make t-shirts with Orlando Bloom's face on the chest and wait outside a possible sight-place and scream until their throats bleed. A few may cry and/or faint.

Fangirl Tourette's

When a fangirl meets an actor/actress from a show where she is extremely active in the fandom and cannot control embarrassing and involuntary enthusiastic interjections like "I love you so much!" or "You're a god/goddess!" from popping into the conversation when meeting aforesaid actor. Inevitably uncomfortable for both the actor and the fan.

At Comic Con
Fandom chick 1: Where's Maggie?
Fandom chick 2: I think she's still in the bathroom crying.
Fandom chick 1: Aww poor thing...but it made David Duchovny really uncomfortable when she kept declaring her love and sobbing in front of him.
Fandom chick 2: I do feel bad for her. But she's starting to get a reputation. If she can't get control of that Fangirl Tourette's she's gonna get banned from future conventions.

fangirl

a female, obsessed with a series of books, movies, anime, music, etc. some examples are the hunger games, divergent, and the city of bones. they freakout about everything, new stills that come out from movies that aren't out yet, they edit photos, they re read books, buy merch, and dress up like the characters. they mourn over characters deaths. either is the only one that is a fangirl in her group of friends, (if she has friends), or all of her friends are fangirls. or fanboys. has copies of all the books and movies, has tons of merchandise.

fangirl 1 : OMG have you seen the new stills of tfios that came out today?
fangirl 2 : YES! who do you think I am?!?!?
