Machine mode

When a male goes to a social gathering (such as a bar or club) and tries to chat up every female at said gathering.

A male in machine mode who gets knocked back by a female, will quickly forget about the female and move on to another female, often the nearest female to the first female and probably the first female's friend.

Friend 1 @ a club: "Alright mate, where you been for the last hour?"

Friend 2 @ the club: "No time to chat, I'm in machine mode tonight, I've already been knocked back by half the girls here... time to move on to the fat chicks. Later."

Zombie Mode

The moments directly after waking up from sleep (usually, only up to an hour) where you can't speak properly and have an inability to perform simple tasks like make your morning coffee.

Extended periods of zombie mode can also occur after a bad night's sleep and can last most of the day. Symptoms include not being able to function properly throughout the day and general malaise.

Zombie mode is comparable to a hang-over but it doesn't usually occur as a result of alcohol although zombie mode, combined with a hang-over is a potentially deadly combination.

"Man, I didnt get to sleep til 5 am this morning. I've been in zombie mode all day since getting up."

Modern Talking

A Deutsch pop duo formed in 1983 that in 1985 gained success with hits such as "You're My Heart, You're My Soul", "Cheri Cheri Lady" and "Brother Louie". In 1998 after breaking up for 11 years they got back together and hired a black guy to rap for them and created updated versions of their old hits, later on creating new songs. They broke up for the last time in 2003. They are probably the most successful recording artist to never chart in America. Despite this, they are one of the most popular 80s artists on YouTube.

I can't believe this band called Modern Talking sold 120 million records without charting in America.
