Hell

The Department of Motor Vehicles. A place where you stand in line for 4-5 hours, in mid-summer, in a building with no air conditioning, only to be told by one of Satan's imps that you lack 1 one of the 5 forms of identification needed to exchange your Minnesota drivers licence for a Utah one.

Contrary to popular belief, DMV employees are not human.They are vampires who feed on pure human misery,circular logic, and pointless bureaucracy.

During a visit to the nineth circle of Hell, also known as the DMV, I was unsuprised to see the grown man in front of me collapse and burst into tears. I was even less suprised when the employees the began to laugh like jackals.

One of the circles of hell from Dante's Divine Comedy. It is the circle where the greedy and the materialistic spend eternity. Working in any corporation is like being in the forth circle of hell.

I work for a fortune 500 company with a bunch of greedy assholes who drive BMW's and talk about reality TV. It is like being in the forth circle of hell.

hella

The farmers from Northern California who settled here a long time ago (probably before the 1950's) were patient and slow people and took everything with ease. When they communicated to explain "VERY" they would say "hell of a" instead of "very" or "a lot". Then the city folks who migrated in later to the Bay Area took the Northern California farmers saying and shortened it to "Hella" instead of "Hell of a."
So in the end the word "hella" comes from the Bay Area city folks. Short and sweet.

She/he was hella sweet.
It was hella cool.
The ride was hella fresh.
