One of the most complex fandoms with both a good and a bad side… I for one, as a furry, do not like how every furry-hater’s definition is “God’s mistake”. It’s just a hobby, and all hobbies have those few exceptions that tie it to the max.

a subculture of individuals interested in anthropomorphic animals with human personalities and characteristics.
I am interested in the furry fandom. Furries are so cute in my opinion. (Definition source: Wikipedia)

A person who thinks their fandom(s) is/are superior to others. They make hate comments towards other fandoms and can't take criticism of their own. Almost every fandom has these (even the most chill ones have atleast one or two of them).
Person 1: IDK man this shows not really that good, I watched like one episode and it's not for me, but that's my opinion though.
Fandom Fascist: NEIN!!! DAS SHOW IST GOOD UND ANYONE WHO CRITICIZES IT IST WRONG!!!!!!!
Person 2: Bruh

Outsiders who join a fandom solely to change it to fit their standards without actually enjoying it. They ignore pre-established rules and expect others to follow their new ones without question. They attack fans and creators for anything they deem "abnormal" and engage in brigaded attacks against those who don’t conform. They have no problem threatening violence or sending death threats, believing their actions are justified.
Despite pretending to be inclusive, they reject any culture outside their own. When called out, they always play the victim and claim it's proof the fandom needs "fixing." They manipulate online engagement by botting Facebook likes, Twitter shares, and Reddit upvotes to create a false sense of support.
Most emerged during and after the 2020 pandemic when lockdowns gave people too much free time. While some pre-2020 cases existed, they were mostly confined to Tumblr. They can be identified by posts mocking fandom norms that receive thousands of likes, yet most replies disagree, exposing the botting.
When confronted, they typically:
- Play the victim
- Use ad hominem attacks against fans
- Trivialize the situation (often exposing their hypocrisy)
- Threaten violence against those who disagree

Fandom haters are a big community on tiktok that kills characters from fandoms for fun or to make kids mad. Most of the time they are satire, or half satire. Some of them have great animation skills and sometimes they don't. A lot of people become fandom haters due to their friends inspiring them. Fandom haters sometimes make one singular oc to kill characters with, and sometimes they make characters that fit in the fandom so they could kill a certain fandom with that character. Usually fandom haters use editing sounds, like phonk, funk, jumpstyle and etc. A lot of people hate them, despite them being satire most of the time.
Fandom hater: "muahahaha i killed fictional character!!"
Someone sensitive: "HOW DARE YOU GRRR!!! *makes a hate video killing them*

On October 31 2019, member Wonho left the South Korean boy group called Monsta X due to false accusation in efforts to protect the group from negative attention. Monbebe (fans of Monsta X) showed up to the Starship Entertainment building singing, crying, and writing messages of love and encouragement to Wonho on Post-it notes and stuck it to the building. This sparked Monbebe to trend hashtags on Twitter for months hoping to show support and get attention from the company to do better. “Post-it note fandom” was used as an insult from other fandoms to tease the efforts of Monbebe trying to get Wonho back... because frankly, a thing like that has never been done before. Once an idol is accused and leaves their company, much is not heard from them after that. Against all odds Wonho made his solo debut on September 4th, 2020 with his EP Love Synonym! Monbebe & Wenee (Wonho fans) couldn’t be happier.
Anti: Stupid Post-it note fandom, writing your notes won’t bring him back.. trending your hashtags won’t bring him back.. give up!!
Monbebe: he’ll come home just wait and see..
Months upon months later...
Wonho: *solo debuts*
Monbebe: Yeah the Post-it note fandom did that...
