Bagdad cafe

A small 1982 independent film starring marianne sagebrecht and Jack parlance. The film was shot in newberry springs ca at what was then called the "sidewinder cafe". After the movie became an "arthouse darling"the proprietors changed the.name of the cafe to "bagdad cafe" to reflect the movies popularity.

The bar that was used in bagdad cafe is located right on route 66 in newberry springs.
