As Mario arrives, Bowser turns up on cue and destroys the festival, and kidnaps Peach and takes to his new galaxy. Mario is blasted into space, and later wakes up on a distant planet, where he learns disaster has also struck Rosalina, a princess in space. Her power stars have been lost, and found by Bowser. Mario must go to many different galaxies, and regain the 120 power stars. They can get Mario across the world to where Bowser has Peach. Somewhat familar to Super Mario 64.
