Cloak of ego

When people in administrative, leadership, and coaching roles disguise their incompetence with ego and hubris, often successfully warding off questions or criticism until they have done significant damage to the business.

"Leaders" who use the cloak of ego are often on to their next job before the damage they did at the last one is fully realized.

"Man, the head football coach at my alma mater is just killing the program. He can't win, he can't recruit..."

"Doesn't matter. He has a cloak of ego. Everyone buys into it; the administration, the boosters...you're stuck for five years, easily."

BC ego 

AKA “Boston College Ego”
Exclusively for students that go to Boston College. The idea that you are too cool for all your home friends and think you are better than everyone. Does not know how to keep in contact with home friends because they think they don’t have time or just happen to forget.

This ego has the following side effects:

1. May cause you to confuse Boston college for Harvard or MIT…(who’s gonna break the news to them)

2. Selective amnesia of all people from home

Someone who is so full of themselves their ego might metaphorically burst. This includes thinking of their looks, voice and other aspects a tad bit too fondly.

Facebook Ego Syndrome 

When you tell all your friends you are being Facebook Stalked, yet you keep your FB page open so you can continue to be stalked. Secretly your ego is so big that you are loving all the attention it's bringing you. So you post 500 pictures of yourself hoping your stalker will continue to come back, making you feel important, and providing you with something to talk about to your 2,000 FB friends. You have high hopes this stalking claim will continue to build your popularity, you become afraid it will someday end. You become so addicted to the attention, you actually begin stalking your stalker.

Man does that guy have a serious case of Facebook Ego Syndrome, he's been telling the world he is being facebook stalked forever now. Why doesn't he just block the bitch? We all know secretly he is loving all the attention, although he tries to play it off like he doesn't.

Big Ego 

A nickname for a certain man who’s ego is more inflated than a bouncy house. He thinks he’s hot as all hell but in reality everyone knows that wearing a demin jacket with denim jeans is possibly the worst thing you could do.

Person one: for the love of god, someone burn that jacket.

Person two: Who’s? Big Ego’s? He thinks it makes him look hot.

The ego driven player 

This is the guy who craves attention from multiple woman. Charismatic and charming. He is Mr. likable. He most likely has a plethora of pussies he calls friends on his dark desert highway. So they can stroke his ego and enable him to feel better about himself. Absorbing the approval and validation.

They aren't necessarily bad guys but are absolute pussies because they don't have the balls to own the bad things they do. They could fuck the whole god damn world and STILL feel rejected!.

It's hard for this guy not to feel lonely. Most of his friends will either 'grow up' themselves and move on OR continue some sick pseudo relationship to 'use' the poor asshole.

They know how to make a connection.

Their dysfunction seems to be in keeping it.

I know that I'm done toying with you but can we still be friends? This way I can feel like less of a prick.

A mangile ego describes the ego of the stereotypical red-blooded male; fragile and weak.

Commonly used as shorthand for fragile male ego.

The first time Aisling played Alex at NBA she beat him which hurt his mangile ego.

Kanye shared a meme on the WhatsApp group and nobody laughed which hurt his mangile ego.
