This occurs when purchasing an item and your change is 4 cents, 9 cents, 14 cents, etc, and the teller rounds up your change to the next highest denomination becuase they're cool shit and pennies are ridiculous.

Backflip Route

When you're stuck in Eastern Europe and can't get a flight back to the states because of a volcano in Iceland. Check for a route that goes East instead of West. That would be your backflip route!

A dude calls me and tells me that he's stuck in Rome because all flights have been canceled to the west because of a stupid volcano in Iceland that no one knows how to pronounce.

I says, "Dude, check your backflip route! Check out a way to get through Bangkok, Singapore or Seoul.
