Supposed Meaning: State of acknowledgement of reality, such as injustice of some people. People who acknowledge there're problem might be considered Woke.

Meaning in current time: An ideology that proclaim to fight for injustice against minority, but in reality, causing problem to people include innocent people using minority as excuse, in order to gain themselves Moral Superiority Feeling, Clout, Personal benefit, or Excuse for Criminal Activity, etc.
Supposed: After learning how black people got bullied because of different in skin color, I want to help them, as I am woke at hated against black people.

Current: Alex: "I am calling everyone to attack this streamer, JoeTheMac, because he misgenders Allan! This is unforgivable"

2. The false sense of moral superiority a person feels they have gained after doing the bare minimum. Especially when it comes to subjects such as race, religion, sex and politics. Similar to Virtue Signalling.
1. A woke Caucasian college professor tells his students that the best way to combat prejudice is to actually go out and make the effort to simply TALK to someone who doesn't look like you. Get to know them as people instead of their skin color, gender or religion.

2. A big company wants to know how they can combat racism in America. They decide to remove the black person from the cover of their product's packaging. It solves nothing. The company issues a statement that someone was paid to write for them, black people roll their eyes and the company moves on, feeling that they have done their part and they're now woke because of it.

Disney changed Mickey Mouse's gender. Disney knew this woke move would seal brand loyalty from the targeted demographic.

In an attempt to be more woke, the movie set in mediaeval Europe featured black American actors. The producers knew this would attract more viewers.

The 18th century statue was decorated with an LGBTQ flag. It looked very woke.
