Nintendo Drought

A problem that has been occurring on Nintendo consoles since the Gamecube. Simply put, Nintendo throws out a string of ideas and games in order to please everyone, then hits a road block partway through year two of a cycle and takes a break in order to develop new games.

Last time it happened, no one cared, as Nintendo was the underdog. This time, however, people are whining because Nintendo is at the top of its game. Regardless, the whining is absurd, as the drought usually ends with Nintendo releasing fresh games.

This time, also, the drought forced third-party developers to stop relying on Nintendo as a crutch and forced them to release some very good games during the fourth quarter of last year and the first of this year.
"Nintendo has abandoned us!"

"What's your problem? It's just a Nintendo Drought. They'll be back with new games soon!"

"Yeah! You didn't complain in 2003, why start now? You scared that Nintendo has two audiences to deal with now? You're so ungrateful! Why don't you just go back to shouting profanity at girls over Xbox Live and leave real gamers to appreciate what Nintendo is able to offer us!"

Nintendo

An incredibly successful video game company that started in the late 1800's making hanafuda cards. They then grew into a video game industry in the 70's and has become very popular since then. Nintendo created many recognizable characters in the gaming industry such as Mario, Link, Kirby and Samus. Nintendo also saved the industry from the Great Video Game Crash of 1983 with the R.O.B, or Family Computer Robot, as it was known in Japan. It was a peripheral for the NES that helped save the games industry. Nintendo called it a toy rather than a console, and more people decided to invest in it. Thus Nintendo singlehandedly saved the industry.

Today, however, many Xbox and Playstation fanboys and fangirls are unaware of Nintendo's great history, and how it saved the industry, and bash the company for it's "kiddy" games. Because the games are marketed towards children rather than people in their 20's living in their parent's basements, many people regard them as irrelevant.
Xbox fanboy: Nintendo makes kiddy games and is a disgrace to the gaming industry!
Nintendo fan: Don't you know that Nintendo saved the gaming industry in 1983? If it wasn't for them, your percious Xbox wouldn't exist.
Xbox fanboy: Whatever, it still sucks butt.
Nintendo fan: *sighs and walks away*

Nintendo Revolution

Nintendo's 2006 console that will focus on gameplay first and graphics second, though will probably excell at both. This is contrary to the PS3 and XBox 360, which will only have graphics as a selling point, lacking gameplay. Also offers the ability to download classic games from previous Nintendo systems.
The Revolution is the best new system, but will be outsold because the other systems are more 'ghetto' and 'hip'.

Death of Nintendo

Something that was avoided after the Nintendo DS was released. It caused It's stocks to raise above that of Microsoft. The DS has a battery life of 10 hours, 2 screens, 2 processers, graphics better then that of the Nintendo 64. It uses game cards, instead of cartriges. It will blow the Playstation Portable(PSP) into dust. Reasons include: It's battery life is 2 1/2 hours, OOHHH WOW. It plays dvds witha battery life of 1 hour, the graphics are good, but not as good as the DS's, they are shy of 64 bit. They have ripped off nintendos touch screen technology due to a touch screen keyboard. It has more unecessary features then the PS2 and XBox combined, even the DS doesnt have that much unecessary crap. It has online support with 1 hour worth of battery power and will be released in 2005 with a price higher then the DS($150+ American) Whoever buys this console is buying a crap machine. The DS may be an odd new system but. Its innovation and graphics. Along with nintendos hard work have created the ultime handheld gaming system, only to be matched by the Game Boy Evolution coming 2006/2007. Not much is known of this system, spare better graphics then 64 bit, we can only hope for a mini gamecube :D. The nintendo DS's games are no longer kiddie, with the addition of a GTA game for it and the game Feel the Magic - XY-XX, the DS has more "T" rated games and features 3-D racing and sports games, nothing the GBA could handle. The death of nintendo is only a lie now, the Nintendo Revolution will probobly put Sony out of business.

Nintendo Revolution

Nintendo's next-gen console, in competition with the Xbox 360 and PS3.
There was a lot of hype around the unveiling Nintendo Revolution's controller, but all fans had to do was go into their living room and pull out the TV remote.
