or “We decent out here”.

Basically said by any American who wants to act/try to be cool.
Person saying it usually ends up embarrassing self; usually not offensive unless has the words 'sexy' in it.

Example of 'In the states we...'
Dude 1: In the states we're are tough!! We play football.
Dude 2: You broke your leg playing it remember?

1. Flight 498 has had an engine fire and is heading to the nearest airport to make an emergency landing as we speak

2. I can see the delivery driver is en-route as we speak so you should have your food within the next 5 minutes
