When a certain smell gives you feelings of transcendence. I.e. nostalgia for a time long passed triggered by smell.

Ben: Whoa. This wet pumpkin smells like the mushrooms we took camping last summer! I am getting scentimental over here!

Brian: Something smells like shi-

Dave: ...like my hockey bag from when I was a kid!
Brian: Look at you, being all scentimental!
