The act of attaching a false story to a shocking and/or gruesome image and posting it on a social media website in order to increase page traffic.

My friend fell victim to Shock Phishing when he posted the hoax story about the baby with cancer

gingerphylaxis shock

What happens when you get too close to a ginger/redhead. The extra chemicals that make their hair red in large quantities can irritate people and almost kill them. A mutation in the MC1R gene which is the gene that causes red hair/ginger hair is the culprit. The allergy to gingers can cause anaphylactic shock and death without an epipen.

After Lana went to the Ed Sheeran concert, she died of gingerphylaxis shock afterwards when she got a whiff of his hair.
