An absolutely amazing film that was written, directed, and starred in by Zach Braff. Natalie Portman, Ian Holm, and Peter Saarsgard also starred. The movie is beautiful in every meaning of the word, and is extremely real and intimate. It is also funny and is shot perfectly.

The soundtrack also contains WONDERFUL music by The Shins, Frou Frou, Remy Zero, Zero 7, Iron and Wine, and Coldplay, among others. Perfect.

Zach Braff is a genius.

John Gardner

Loved by many, respected by most. Not quite the leading man but important enough to not get killed in a horror movie. Comic relief in tense situations, and the word of reason in the midst of chaos. The one you want on your side when you are in trouble. An infectious laugh or an upbeat tune can often be heard coming from his direction. A shoulder to cry on. The big brother. The teddy bear. The warrior. The friend everyone wishes they had. John Gardner is one of a kind.

I wish I had someone like John Gardner in my life. He would make things so much better.

As a Master Gardener, Xochitl told Pacho to avoid using herbicides on his lawn because the chemicals may cause harm to his pet dog, Pluto. She helped Pacho learn to use the weed twister to twist out weeds, and she told him that he may someday become a Master Weed Twister if he completely stops using herbicides in his garden.

If you understand graffiti as a "'guerrilla art' attempting to reclaim public space through clandestine and spontenous intervnetions of areseol on walls," then you can easily make the jump to "guerrilla gardening" as a parallel idea - replacing the 'areseol on walls' with 'seeds in soil.'

Garden School

The school that is so small that you know everyone in it, and everyone knows everything that goes on with you in the school and gives you crap about it, even if you barely know them. Anything else is irrelevant because it is too small and sucky.

Sleeping with 7th graders. Every teacher knowing who your going out with and giving you shit about it. Gym teachers telling you that the love you... 32 times before they let you do anything. Lazy Bio teacher. Garden School.
