You can copy data in there but you shall have a copy of the original data with you.
Essentially is a way to avoid full blown responsibilities and requirements of a System of Record,
and cherry pick only requirements that are easy to implement.
This definition also is wobbly and specific for every single data object of the information model supported in the system.
Some people interpret it as lifecycle information is stored also else where, some people interpret this as the full information is stored also elsewhere.
Some people leave this poor man's details as "undefined behaviour" so that is possible to go through architecture approvals and it is then possible to resell and recast the system into something it was not fit for purpose/fit for use at the beginning.

Get the lay on a copy and paste day mug.A phenomenon in which users; typically on Steam, will resort to copy+pasting copypastas onto the comment section of any submission on the Steam Workshop. Typically, these comments are either "warnings" or ASCII posts that, while different in each copypasta, often contain the phrase "TAKE OVER THE STEAM WORKSHOP". These people can be found on any games that allow for workshop submissions, but are more common around games such as Garry's Mod, People Playground, and potentially more.
Example:
Person: WARNING! Carry on reading! Or you will die, even if you only looked at the word warning! Once there was a little boy called Joey, he was ten-years-old and he lived in a mental hospital because he posted a shitty copypasta onto a People Playground mods comment section. He got so bad he went to kill all the staff in the hospital so the Feds decided that best idea was to get rid of him so they set up a special room to kill him, as inhumane as possible. And he sat there in agony for hours until he died. Now every week on the day of his death he returns to the person that reads this letter, on a monday night at 12:00 a.m. He creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by pegging you and watching you bleed to death. Now send this to ten other profiles on this one site, and he will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently if u copy and paste this to ten comments in the next ten minutes nothing will happen
