Foreshortening of the word "geriatric".

Used as a derogatory term when describing someone driving 5mph or more UNDER posted speed limits.

For a motorist directly behind in traffic; typically the visible backs of heads are bald, balding, large wigs, or desperately dated hair. Also often with a diminutive presence above the head rest.

Rarely signals or signals 5-40 yards before intended turn, changes lanes without prompt, and/or remains on or beyond lane lines by 1-2 inches or more.

Commonly vehicles range from 35 - 50 years, or new-4 years old. Either impeccably well maintained, or heavily sunbleached and corroded.

Example: "Sorry I'm late. I got stuck behind a Gerry for 3 miles on the way here. Nearly lost my shit, but realized if I laid on the horn, despite the size of the ears sticking out beyond the seat rest, they wouldn't hear it."

"Gave a Gerry a WIDE birth, never know when the fucker was going to slam on their brakes 4ft before a freshly yellow light, or get side-swiped by oncoming traffic."
