Belmont Transfer

The Belmont Transfer is a sexual move named after the Belmont "L" train station on the north side of Chicago that has a free transfer between the Red and Brown lines. It is a metaphor for switching from vaginal sex to anal sex, also known as "switching from the Red line to the Brown line."

Matt: "I took home some random girl from the bar last night"

Sean: "Nice! Did you pull the Belmont Transfer?"

Matt: "Damn straight kid!"

a Peptidyl transferase is the primary enzymatic functional part of the ribosome, which forms peptide links between adjacent amino acids using tRNAs during the translation process of protein biosynthesis.

In Bacteria, the 50S (23S component) ribosome subunit contains the peptidyl transferase component and acts as a ribozyme.

In eukaryotic cells, the 60S (28S component) ribosome subunit contains the peptidyl transferase component and acts as the ribozyme.

Transferitis

A colloquial term describing when students who are just about to transfer cannot bring themselves to care about their current classes anymore. This apathy often occurs after they've already received a degree from their current college, but are stuck wrapping up general ed transfer credits.

It is really difficult for me to care what my level 100 history class wants to teach me when I'm a couple months away from transferring to a 4 year college. I think I have transferitis.
