When playing the card game 500, the jack of the trump suit and the jack of the suit of the same color are the right bower and the left bower, the two best cards after the joker. The trumbowers are either jack of the opposite color. They're basically almost worthless.

I was excited when you dealt me the jack of hearts, but when our opponents bid 8 clubs, it was clear that it was just a trumbower.
