Plural: syllabontes. NOT syllabi. There exists NO Latin word syllabus, syllabi; nor even Greek syllabos, syllábou. Only Greek syllabos, syllabontos.

I xeroxed the syllabus for the Talmud course, and gave it to my male friend; I would have given him the syllabontes of the other courses, as well, but he already had them.

An severe inablility to discern or understand the syllables that make up words. For example; a monosyllable (such a word is monosyllabic), while a word consisting of two syllables (like monkey) is called a disyllable (such a word is disyllabic). A word consisting of three syllables (such as indigent) is called a trisyllable (the adjective form is trisyllabic). A word consisting of more than three syllables (such as intelligence)
