When slang words & phrases that are either made up from scratch or the original meanings of actual words take on a new meaning, become part of common daily language and even get incorporated into official sources of language like the dictionary or thesaurus.
“Down below are examples of modern slanguage. Slang words that are incorporated into modern language”—-
“American youth are well known to use slanguage into their everyday speech patterns”—-
Examples:
Phat, all that, dope, bad (as good), tubular, ripper, bad-ass, lit are all words that mean good, great or really awesome!!
fubar, wasted, hammered, lit, stoned are all terms to denote people are high or drunk
cap/cappin, dis, dig, thrash, savage, rip are terms that can connote insults, verbally ripping on someone.
moded is embarrassed, wrong, made a mistake, oops.
hella, gnarly, GOAT, bummer are terms to describe how amazing or crappy something is. GOAT=greatest of all times, hella is super/awesome, bummer is a disappointment, doh is shock or surprise!
Periodt…end of story. Done!
ghosted, catfish/ed are when people trick you either online or in person. Ghosted means they bailed out, didn’t reply or follow through. Catfished means someone tricks you into thinking they’re someone they’re not, usually online.
down-low, low-key are expressions of situations whether they are secretive or should be kept quiet or something really great. Quantifiers.
dude, sis, bro, brah, homie, homegirl, ride or die, sister, brother are terms of brotherhood/sisterhood, solidarity, friendship, ……friendly banter or even a formal greeting but in a casual manner.
There are millions of slang words through 100’s of cultures around the world. These are mostly American and western.

Slanguage is how people talk when they want to try and sound "gangsta," or tough even though usually it just comes out sounding stupid.
Joey: Yo my man how you doin' today?
Jay: Stop talking slanguage, man.
Joey: Boy whatchu talkin' bout, I ain't talkin' no slanguage.
