when an article of clothing is obviously fast fashion, and made of cheap material, usually with some god awful pattern. A shirt can be sheinstreme without having been from shein as overdone and cheap fashion can be found in any particular store

Word Origin: French. Literally means "Right of the master"

In the movie "Braveheart", William and Murron marry in secret to avoid Murron being forced to sleep with the King because of the droit de seigneur.

In the tv show "The Office" Michael says he is instituting "Prima Nocta" to ensure that everyone dresses properly for Phyllis' wedding. He later admits he misconstrued the meaning of the phrase.
