perimillennial

(noun, adjective)

A person who isn’t actually a millennial but says or does things that scream millennial energy — like unironically calling themselves a “smol bean” or referencing avocado toast like it’s 2015.

Usage as noun:
“Remy’s Gen Z friend just said ‘adulting is hard’ — what a perimillennial.”

Usage as adjective:
“That Pinterest board is so perimillennial it hurts.”

Etymology:
A blend of peri- (meaning “around” or “near,” like in perimenopause) and millennial, used to describe someone orbiting the millennial aesthetic or mindset without actually being part of the generation.
Ryan: “Ugh I miss Vine.”
Remy: “That was so perimillennial of you.”
