It's better to miss a friend than to miss a joke

This comes from a brazilian saying. It basically means that if you're making jokes and someone gets offended ( on a personal level ), that is no reason to stop making those jokes. This, of course, isn't an excuse to just be an asshole, and must be used with nuance. The saying could also be directly translated to

"It's better to lose a friend than to lose a joke"
Guy 1 (whose wife died to stillbirth): Wow, these celebrities are crazy
Guy 2: What happened?
Guy 1: I checked the news, and it looks like the rapper DaBaby killed his wife
Guy 2: Well, "The Baby" also killed YOUR wife
Guy 1: Low blow dude
Guy 2: It's better to miss a friend than to miss a joke

Joke Steal

1. When someone steals your joke you made earlier.

2. When a person generally steals one's jokes, he/she is classified as a joke stealer and an Attention Hog.

After one steals another's jokes, the original joke maker may become a ZB and put a ZB hat on to ignore everyone/everything.
1. "Dude, you just stole my joke, what the fuck?"

2. "You fucking douche, you are such a joke stealer!"

To take someone else's joke and add to it in order to create a running joke. This is done repeatedly by Dara O'Briain on Mock The Week but has been observed on several other panel shows including Have I Got News For You. It also happens on The Last Leg, particularly by Josh Widdicombe.
