Noun - a form of government whereby the dumbest among us elect a mentally ill leader, create absolute chaos, destroy the principles on which the government was formed, give the remaining 3% of wealth to the richest citizens, alienate all allies, worship bigotry, and eventually destroy the country.

America has become an idiocracy under Donald J. Trump.

1. A 2006 cult movie that depicts the Fall of Man due to idiots outbreeding smart people and rampant consumerism.
2. Based on the word's etymology, "idiocracy" can mean either "self-government" or "spontaneously occurring government".

Contrary to popular belief, it is not the rampant breeding of idiots that caused intelligence to decline; it is the public perception that idiots are something to worship...which is what caused idiots to outbreed smart people. An Idiocracy scenario is not very likely to occur; in fact, the advancement of public health has allowed minds to develop better than they did in the past.

A movie directed by Mike Judge that has become a very boring and tedious hyperbole commonly used by not-very-bright adolescent non-conformists while ranting against the success of the mainstream entertainment.

The fact that "movie X", which I didn't particularly enjoy, made millions at the box office PROVES that we are getting really close to Idiocracy.
