someone or a group of people who stand nearby a bigger group of more popular people, to make it seem like they are in that group. the smaller group also do stupid ass things like laughing at everything someone says but not actually joining in the conversation.

scouse noun used to describe someone who is 'gegging in', meaning they're getting involved in/sticking their nose in something (usually a conversation or plan) that they weren't invited to be a part of. can also be used as a verb i.e. 'we're going the park' 'i might geg?'

'she's such a geg she just turned up uninvited'
'stop geggin' in we're not talking about you'
'are you going town? can i geg'
