Comcast Gambit

The untimely and prolonged malfunction of an internet connection resulting in great inconvenience, such as the forfeiture of an online chess match/tournament. Dubbed by the chess master and Youtube personality Jerry (ChessNetwork).

This phrase is a merging of two terms: the terrible internet provider (Comcast) with the chess term (gambit), a tactical and deliberate sacrifice of a chess piece. However, the Comcast Gambit is unique from all others in that it fails to be either voluntary or tactical.

1. Marcellus, with the black pieces, found himself in a superior position with a time advantage in a blitz chess match. To his opponent's relief, the Comcast Gambit was then played, resulting in an immediate win for white.

2. After completing his essay final by 11:55 pm, Leland proceeded to submit it online before the 11:59 pm deadline. However, his shoddy internet service was down -- a textbook Comcast Gambit.

Destiny 2 Gambit

D2 gambit is a combination of PVE and PVP gamemodes in D2, in which players kill ads to bank motes. Certain increments of motes summon blockers on the other side, which prevent the opposing team from baking motes. A total of 100 banked motes summons the Primeval. The first team to kill their Primeval wins the game. Other players can invade, which they can kill the opposing team's players to prevent them from banking motes or to give health back to the Primeval during that stage

J and K Gambit

J and K Gambit, also known as Jammu Kashmir Gambit, is a type of gambit in chess that is played when only few seconds are left for the opponent. The player who has more time sacrifices his pieces in a totally unexpected way so as to throw the opponent off guard and eventually the opponent loses by running out of time. This was first played by an Indian comedian, Samay Raina in one of his live streams. He is the winner of comicstaan season 2 which was aired on Amazon.
