Much of his works were influenced by the French, gaining him the nickname ' Japanese Rimbaud' , and despite dying at 30, he published 350 poems. His poems tend to be quite depressing, much likely because of the fact that his first child had died, and that he had a terrible childhood. Originally he was called Chuuya Kashimura, yet he changed his name to Chuuya Nakahara.
