Not nesscessarily a bad thing, but its when your friend has a little too much to drink, or is way too high, and you just help them walk, or calm them down. Often practiced by the one sober person in the group.

Used to discribe the action of bringing a soon to be former member of an organization close just before an unlawful/adverse act, such as killing or firing. This serves to keep the person calm and unaware of the impending adverse action. Also serves to collect information and position the person in pursuit of the action.
