Valuinn

A drug that causes disturbing hallucinations of cheap furniture, rough towels, uncomfortable beds and no smoking allowed. Valuinn users can be recognized by dark circles under the eyes from lack of sleep and a very irritable temperament. Although now it has all but drifted into obscurity, only surfacing in areas with an abundance of cheap hotels and truck stops off of any given interstate, abuse by teens in the late nineties prompted the anti-drug slogan "Valuinn will do you in!" from government officials and concerned parents.

Igon Value Problem

"the Igon Value Problem: when a writer’s education on a topic consists in interviewing an expert, he is apt to offer generalizations that are banal, obtuse or flat wrong" (Steven Pinker, NY Times 11/7/2009).

Pinker coined the term in his review of a Malcolm Gladwell book. Gladwell had quoted an expert speaking about an “igon value” -- the correct term is eigenvalue, a basic concept in linear algebra.

Great Value

Usually referring to someone being a really bad impersonation of an iconic figure. The term "Great Value" being used before someone else's name references the ever-so-famous Wal-Mart brand that tends to rip-off other product brands, but with less quality and also a cheaper cost too, so calling someone a Great Value version of something else is pretty much a diss or insult to them.
