Sniglet

A Sniglet is any word that doesn't appear in the dictionary, but should.

The Sniglets books were made in 1984 and 1985 by Rich Hall, a writer/actor for HBO's "Not Necessarily the News", "Fridays", and "The David Letterman Show".

The illustrations of the two books were made by Arnie Ten, an award-winning cartoonist living in Brooklyn.

Since the Sniglets's first airing on "Not Necessarily the News", thousands of viewers contributed to the books with their own Sniglets.

A few Sniglets:

"Eufirstics (yew fur' stiks) - n. Two people waiting on the phone for the other to hang up first."

"Nevitts (nev' itz) - n. The sandpaper-like deposits on a cat's tongue."

"Shocklet (shahk' lit) - n. The seldom-used third hole on an electrical outlet."

"Yotate (yoh' tayt) - v. To allow a yo-yo to unwind itself."

The accumulation of hair, tp, and lint collecting at the very tip of your asscrack.

Spouse: "Honey, what's on the (shower) soap?"

You: "What's it look like?"

Spouse: "Kind of like a small embroidered spider, wrapped in pubes?"

You: "Oh! I must've left a snugglet. I'll rinse it off."

snaggletoes

snaggletoes are toes that rarely see nail clippers and are of yellowish color and matte in finish. They are not properly cared for and the term is best used when referring to a man who wears mandals (man sandals) and have large toe-like talons. They can also evoke a little bit of vomit in the back of your throat. They are often hanging past the sandal or shoe resembling eagle claws. This term does not exclude women.

Sniggle

To giggle & snort through the nose simultaneously

The action that describes giggling (laughing with repeated short, spasmodic sounds) with the mouth closed, with the only place of release for the giggles via the nostrils lol

During the sad occasion she knew it was inappropriate to laugh out loud and so managed to sniggle quietly much to her delight & to the embarrassment of her weeping friend.
