A corporate puppet manufactured band who did not even know what anarchy meant and just sung about it because they were told to. Did not start up punk contrary to popular belief. Did however have a big influence on the british music scene which had some excellent bands form. Johnny rotten is fuuny as fuck and although was a member of the corporate machine which he constantly sung against earns my respect because he is funny.

A manufactured punk-rock group from the '70s. Even though they were Malcom McLaren's puppets, even though they couldn't play their instruments, even though Sid probably DID kill Nancy, I still love them.
And y'know, they were just as manufactured as Avril Lavigne is. "God Save The Queen" is as catchy as "Sk8er Boi", though "God Save the Queen" pissed off a lot more people.

The Sex Pistols are a good group, but the Ramones and the Clash are real punk.

Had some guy called Sid Viscous on bass, who despite being loved by idiots everywhere, was actually unplugged when the band played live because he was so poor on his instrument.

One of the most overrated bands in history.

The band was extremely shitty. But they had a great producer so they sounded good on their album. They sucked extremely hard live though. Funny how a great producer can make a shitty band sound good.

Wrote offensive lyrics about pretty much anything. They got popular because of that. They also put the "anarchy" lable on punk music. You know, that sign Avril Lavigne uses too all the time, hahaha.

All in all, a band that got famous because they pretty much hated everything and everyone. Their bass player sliced up his girlfriend and commited suicide after that. Or did he die from an heroin OD? Either way it wasn't pretty.

Respect to the producer of the Sex Pistols. He made them acually sound good on their album!
