A lot of the people on the subreddit don't even live in China but blindly worship the CCP, and the mods on r/sino have been known to actually ban Chinese people living in China for disagreeing with the subreddit propaganda. This includes cases such as the mods banning Chinese redditors actually living in China taking photos of homeless people to disprove the r/sino claim that homeless people don't exist in China. R/sino also likes to play the race card by claiming anyone who disagrees with them are white supremacists, even the subreddit is often racist towards African Americans and bashes other Chinese/Asian oriented subreddits that are more critical of the CCP.
I just got banned from r/Sino for saying that China has a western style Republic government and a mixed hybrid economy of capitalism + socialism (objective facts). r/sino claims any criticism of the Chinese Communist Party is white-racism, but ironically uses racist language and stereotypes against racial minorities such as African Americans.

Most sinoboo's are uneducated about their obsession and attempt to impress other's with their knowledge on the Chinese world or it's media. Some even go to the extent of claiming that they have Chinese blood or wear Chinese traditional clothing in the hopes that it'll make them "look the part." Sinoboo's also tend to misuse common Chinese words such as "ke ai" (cute) "gege" (brother) and "shuai" (cool) by using them too much or using them in random sentences. Sinoboo's may also be referred to as Chinaboo's and not to be confused with Sinophile's- people who genuinely admire China and it's culture.
An easy way to spot sinoboo's is to mention certain types of cmedia they like which are most likely cpop, cdrama, donghua, cnovel, or manhua. Although some are obsessed with Chinese gaming. Another step to identifying a sinoboo is noticing whether or not they have an odd fixation on the Chinese language or anything Chinese (including people) and start getting Chinese usernames/names without the help of an actual Chinese person.
