When someone attacks you, and you fight back, then they run and cry to everyone who would listen asking that they make you stop attacking them because they are poor and innocent. Then they go and hide behind someone else using them as a human shield.

I was dining at a full restaurant when another customer came up to me and began punching me in the face. When I stood up to fight back and defend myself, he ran away crying and telling all the other patrons that I started attacking him first.
