Neoliberal

A person who extracts the wealth you made, and then says they "added value*
E.g. Obama, Kier Starmer, Blair. Office cubicle workers and consultants, marketers and professionals. Exclusively on the winning side of the system.
People shouldn't really use Neoliberal in a sentence its quite pretentious, but it's important to remember it when it comes up

Neoliberalism

A fancy term for "white liberals."

Since it became unpopular to be openly racist, a new ideology was needed where white people could roleplay as saviors who could force their ideology onto the rest of the world. An ideology where everyone is as miserable as the next bearded hipster white liberal, but could buy their way to a feeling of happiness and success.

Neoliberals openly call for wars against Afghanistan, China, etc, while claiming they're bringing "freedom." This is identical to what neo-cons used to say, but this time neoliberals are painting trans / LGBTQ flags onto their bombs, thinking that this makes it better. After all, the USA needs its money to keep propping up the lifestyles of insecure, low-self esteem having, overweight, bearded leftists who mistake politics for having a personality cause they can't fall back on their looks or talent. So neoliberals will continue to support illegal drug wars in Afghanistan.

This is why people are starting to miss Bush. People would rather have a snake in full view like neo-cons, rather than snakes in the grass like warmongers like AOC, who cry for the rights of gays, etc. while driving around in a 100k Tesla paid for her through the CIA's Afghan heroin trade.

After all, neoliberals are all about keeping up their social status as being a "woke" person, but still need money to make themselves feel like they matter, hence their obsession with capitalism and everything that comes with it.
South American communist 1: Hey, look at this shell fragment from an American mortar that killed my baby and took off half my wife's face? What's this rainbow flag on it mean?

South American communist 2: Oh, that's just American neoliberalism.

South American communist 1: What's the difference between them and the Americans here in the 80's?

South American communist 1: The rainbow flag pretty much.

Neoliberalism

An ideology that stands to be forward-leaning and progressive, yet has proven to be backwards and oppressive and is mainly followed by the U.S. and Europe with the most of the world having adopted it
Person 1: What is the definition of neoliberalism?
Person 2:It's when you are a slave to currency, vain desires, and what powerful people tell you is true
Person 1: It doesn't say that on Wikipedia!

neoliberal

Ronald Reagan was a neoliberal- so was George (Senior) Bush. I see people today using it to just mean liberal- when it means the exact opposite.

In the distant past of the early 2000s, the established definition actually paralleled "Neo-conservative" . Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, Alan Greenspan, and Milton Friedman were neoliberals, aka conservatives.

The definition of neoliberal (often shortened to "neolib") has had several definitions which are current undergoing re-invention in our post-truth societies. In that sense, it can mean whatever you want it to mean. But one problem with having so many active and contradictory definitions (of which this site seems to promote more than most others), is that canonical definitions will be thrown out, thus making historical review almost impossible. Already we have much confusion about how the Dixiecrats turned into the Republican Party of today.
"Neoliberals and Neoconservatives weren't opposing ideologies- so it is non-obvious that they went together like chocolate and peanut butter."

or (shortened)
"Just as up is the new down, neolibs are the new libs."

neoliberal

A term used to describe a political ideology that emphasizes minimal government intervention in the economy, advocating for free-market capitalism, deregulation, and privatization. Neoliberals prioritize individual liberties, economic freedom, and limited government involvement. They often support policies aimed at reducing the role of the state in various aspects of society.
"The government's decision to privatize the healthcare system reflects a neoliberal approach to public services."

Neoliberal

A term that originally means a type of economic policy used in most countries today, balancing free-market capitalism with minor elements of socialism. Unfortunately, the term has been weaponized by some online users as a verbal attack against any person that disagrees with them, especially in a political context. In other words, it has basically become a euphemism for the "f-bomb" in both online and real life politcal forums.
"Can't you believe Candidate X? He wants to enact a policy that I personally don't like. The neoliberals are at it again!"

-A random "simpleton" who has no clue with what they are doing.

Neoliberalism

A word used by dumb leftists and some conservatives to describe anything they don't like.
