Idiotically used as an alternative on social media as a substitute to the act of “unaliving”, doesn’t make sense in this given context. The actual definition pertains to the summoning of a group or entity hence the position of ‘dispatcher’, whose job is to solicit police response in particular.
Officers were dispatched at the scene after reports of a crazed assailant. Reports of ‘shots fired’ were quickly called in upon first contact.
