non-core promise

An election promise that you have gone back on after the election is over. It is important not to define what promises are core and what are non-core before the election itself.

After winning the 1996 Australian Federal election John Howard slashed spending on Education, Health, Social Welfare blaming a budget deficit left by the previous government. When it was pointed out that he had promised not to cut spending on these areas as part of his election platform and that he had lied, he claimed that these were "non-core promises"

No Child Left Behind on steroids and with a different name. Which the Democrats and some Republicans still support for some reason. Basically it's like Obamacare for education. Mark my words, it is going to be an even bigger failure than NCLB and will probably affect students with special needs especially negatively.

Person A: Why do Democrats give the GOP so much trouble about NCLB and then turn around and shove Common Core down our throats?

Person B: I have no clue but they are both terrible programs.

Corecore

Kind of a deconstructed art. Basically invoking emotion out of a series of (visual) clips that you develop your own meaning to.
Corecore content is introspective.

Here is an example of quotes used in a row, in the same video (often used) :
« Would you rather have a thot daughter or a gay son »

…

« What do you wanna do when you grow up ? Uh.. I’m gonna be a doctor.
How much do you wanna make ?
I’m gonna make… people feel okay »

This shows how much diverse the emotions can be in a single corecore content.

It is a giant mech taller than a skyscraper that can transform into a shell, then transform again to wreak havoc with its Defender Obelisk Lasers.
