Nobody knew what this meant other than it sounds like a bullshit buzzword made by people to hate on it because "durr hurr anim was mistok boobs kild my famuhlee" so we made it into a meme.

A phrase to describe when a guy's aesthetic is attractive in a realistic, warm and down to earth way that makes him seem relatable or even reachable, looking like they could be your boyfriend. this phrase is often used when attractive male celebrities post of themselves that feel intimate in some way. Probably sitting in a sofa reading a book, hanging out outdoors or eating something that is not particularly fancy.
If you ever see a picture of a guy and you think "this looks like the picture of someone's boyfriend" or "he looks like he is on a date" you probably have it right.

person2: really? haha.. this looks so boyfriend-coded...
