Abundance of Caution

An irritating cliche, basically meaning to be very careful or to make certain of something.

Especially overused during the COVID-19 pandemic by administrators and other high-ups in organizations, but it can be used in everyday situations, as well (see below).

“I feel pretty stoned, but out of an abundance of caution, I’m gonna take one more bong hit.”

Caution Horse

The mascot of all things cautious. The most cautious of all animals. As noted on the back of most horse trailers by the sign stating "caution horses".
Anyone who does something slowly and in a cautious manner.

When I mix Mel a shot to drink she just sips it. Shes such a caution horse.

The act of pooping on the floor of a public restroom, and then placing a "Caution Wet Floor" sign over said poop.

Caution

This is not caution. I am a university professor. It is not a particularly cautious act/behavior to write vaguely disgusting and diachronic definitions of angels, wolves and migration on a public dictionary site that anyone could read. I like writing my autobiography in the form of Urban Dictionary definitions. This is not, as I said, caution.

Writing intensely personal definitions of futurity, modernity, you name it, on a public dictionary site that you will have no access to once you press send. To do this without caution.
