When the amount of leeway you're willing to give someone based purely on their attractiveness runs out. Like a check that bounces because of insufficient funds, a 'cute check' is given by uninteresting but attractive people but soon bounces when you find there's nothing in the 'account' to draw interest from.

Cameron: "I don't know why you still put up with that Tony kid. His cute check bounced about 1 day after I met him and then I just couldn't stand to be around him."

Gyro: "Yeah I know, but he's just so darn cute."

boku no pico

the equivalent to severe interrogation to anime fans/otakus

WARNING: Watching this anime can result in eternal scarring of the mind, spasms, PTSD like symptoms and Boku no Pico syndrome (PnBS). The only known way to attempt to reverse the effects of PnBS is to do the following:

1. Remove, purge and destroy the device in which the victim saw BnP
2. Sit them down and put on the MOST RECENT EPISODE OF THE MOST RECENT ANIME THEY WATCHED (ex. if they last saw episode 16 of My Hero Academia, you must put on that exact episode.) If the victim has never seen an anime before BnP, put on any good anime (take a vote if you are in a group) and wait. Make sure the person gets in contact with a psychiatrist afterwards.
Regardless of what category the fall, have them continue this watching of better anime until the person stops acting like they were in the Killing Fields of Cambodia, or some other atrocity from human history.
