Arkhamization

A term for the phenomenon when a community goes batshit insane after not getting content for several years, most often seen on Reddit subreddits. Examples being the titular r/BatmanArkham and r/Deltarune.
r/BatmanArkham pre-arkhamization: "do you agree with Batman's no killing rule?"
r/BatmanArkham after arkhamization: "I just FUCKING made this new FUCKING character, what the FUCK should I FUCKING name it!?"

Arkham Syndrome

When a fanbase makes absurd memes about the minimalist things from media, due to said media not receiving new content for a long period of time.
Originates from the subreddit r/BatmanArkham, where the game's fanbase started creating absurd memes of the game, due to the game's developers not creating new content for years.
"The game hasn't received new content for so long, that the fanbase now has Arkham Syndrome."

Arkhamization

The process by which a subreddit becomes utterly insane and filled with shitposts to try and survive a real or perceived content drought, as famously demonstrated on r/BatmanArkham. Other subreddits which have undergone this include r/Deltarune and r/tf2. Some people will try to force this on a subreddit during a content drought, no matter how brief it actually is, because haha is he stupid = funny
David: r/Deltarune is undergoing Arkhamization. I guess nowhere is sacred.

Arkham Subreddit Effect

When a subreddit randomly goes batshit insane, with stupid shitposts and genuinely insane people. Originally from r/batmarkham, hence the name.
Guy 1: All of my favorite subreddits are being flooded with stupid shitposts. What the fuck does "is he stupid?" even mean!?

Guy 2: Blame the Arkham Subreddit Effect...

Guy 1: Why?

Guy 2: Just take a stroll through r/batmanarkham and come back after 10 seconds.

Arkham's Razor

A philosophical device that suggests that if a deliberately public and spectacular crime can be ascribed to an antisocial personality disorder, in particular one of a magnitude great enough to warrant involuntary commitment to a mental institution, then this can be assumed to be the appropriate explanation.
after a deliberately dramatic act of mass violence "I read the guy's manifesto, and he seems like a sociopath. I think we can use Arkham's Razor for this one."
