A film set to release December 8, 2006 about a young man that flees his home after being chosen for sacrifice in Ancient Maya. It is written and directed by Mel Gibson, which will probably turn a lot of superficial people off and on to the movie, even though despite popular beleif everything assosiated with Mel Gibson is not trying to force feed you Christianity.

Post-Apocalyptic empathy

When a person who has lived through a great number of hardships in life shows the appropriate amount of baseline empathy, but the empathetic expression is couched in a level of practicality, survival and utilitarianism.

Jean-Claude Van Damme did a great job at conveying post-apocalyptic empathy in the 1989 movie Cyborg. There are small moments where he conveys great emotional responses in only split second intervals because he's mostly having to continue kicking ass.

A subgenre of heavy metal taking inspiration from Symphonic Black Metal and features lyrics about life in Finland and the mistrust of Finnish Christianity, and glorifying the Warlike Pagan lifestyles of the neighboring countries' history. The lyrics focus on the solution to the mundane Finnish lifestyle being the Apocalypse. The only band that plays this currently is Impaled Rektum.
