something (can be applied to clothing, behaviors, and even people) that is not trendy, out-of-style, lame, cheap, trashy, tasteless, tacky, unfashionable, unchic.

Donna: "OMG did you see what Esther was wearing yesterday??"
Dorothy: "Noo...what?"
Donna: "She was wearing Abercrombie sweats with a Limited Too frog shirt AND to top it all off, she was wearing Tevas with toe socks!"

in reference to someone's attitude/character. someone is considered amish if they are cheap or always looking for a bargin. (usually known and used in areas where amish are close by because one better understands their stereotypical temperament).
