Eldercare

A minimum wage, though high skilled job dealing with the elderly with dementia, Alzheimer's, etc

Includes assisted living, nursing homes and memory care.

It's more or less a money making scheme for corporations as these places are often understaffed, have overworked employees, and huge health risks due to covid19.. you literally will be covered in shit and piss.

Expect to make less than fast food and walmart., Be on food stamps and have to kill yourself working overtime for a decent paycheck

The elderly do need love and care, but the employees need to be fairly paid for the SKILLED work they do.

You should go work in eldercare.

(2) Da status of being unfriendly or disrespectful towards your more-aged relatives or acquaintances.

In an old "Peanuts" cartoon, Lucy van Pelt angrily accuses Snoopy of being "elderhostile" by his frolicking light-heartedly about in the sunny weather, despite the fact that Lucy's great-grandmother had always said that, "If you're too happy today, something bad will happen to you tomorrow". When Snoopy ignores Lucy's dour remark and continues skipping enthusiastically around the yard, Lucy blows her stack and demands harshly, "Are you trying to make a fool out of my great-grandmother?!"

elder herding

The practice of shuttling your older parents or relatives from place to place because they cannot drive or have mobility issues, and associated with the difficulty and added time that takes.

Taking my parents to the pharmacy and grocery store was a frustrating exercise in elder herding.
