Abuse unit

Texas law defines "Abuse unit" thus (Health and Safety Code, Title 6, Subtitle C, Chapter 481, Subchapter A, Section 481.002):

(A) except as provided by Paragraph (B):

(i) a single unit on or in any adulterant, dilutant, or similar

carrier medium, including marked or perforated blotter paper, a

tablet, gelatin wafer, sugar cube, or stamp, or other medium that

contains any amount of a controlled substance listed in Penalty

Group 1-A, if the unit is commonly used in abuse of that

substance; or

(ii) each quarter-inch square section of paper, if the adulterant,

dilutant, or carrier medium is paper not marked or perforated into

individual abuse units; or
(B) if the controlled substance is in liquid or solid form, 40 micrograms

of the controlled substance including any adulterant or dilutant.

The most well-known substance in "Penalty Group 1-A" is LSD. The term "Abuse unit" is used in order to fairly prosecute possession or manufacture of drugs that are usually dosed with blotter paper (and other hard-to-measure mediums).

Prowler Unit

Another term for police car or squad car.

Officer 1: What is all this

Officer 2: A traffic stop from hell
Officer 2: A Prowler Unit pulls this guys over, finds a trunk fulled with hardware like you wouldn’t believe.
Officer 2: They lose it, bullets start flying and they snatch up the guns from one of the cops. Hit the high ground and make their stand.

Officer 1: And the officer?

Officer 2: Up there, still alive we think but who knows for how long. We’ll keep him busy if you can find a way up there.

Spun Unit

A completely derogitory term. Accurately describes someone who quite ovbiously is thick, or behaves in a manner in which you would never befriend. Unlike unit which could be taken as a term of endearment to a buddy. You would be a spun unit if you thought being called a spun unit brought you closer to the person saying it.

Take a look at that f*cking c*cksucker taking up both lanes, AND he doesn't give a sh*t. He's a f*ckin spun unit if i've ever seen one. F*ck off loser ( as you give the finger as you overtake him)

one hell of a leg-end, loves to sell pizzas to people who can't afford them. also has the power of flight but refuses to utilise such. "Ed Unit" can be used as a complimentary term to great effect.
