Any object or place that leads you to take a "surprise" nap.
Oftentimes, one wakes up completely bewildered or shocked that they fell asleep in a nap trap, even if they have fallen into the nap trap before.
Oftentimes, one wakes up completely bewildered or shocked that they fell asleep in a nap trap, even if they have fallen into the nap trap before.
Example 1:
3PM on Sunday
Me: Hmm. I guess I'll just sit here on the sofa and watch TV for half an hour.
4:20PM that same day
Me: *Opens eyes* Crap, did I just fall asleep?
Roomie: *Walks by* Dude, you know that couch is a nap trap.
Example 2:
No wonder I am failing calculus, that warm classroom is a total nap trap.

The 46th president of the United States's signature move. A quick ten second nap that restores all energy and focus.
Donald Trump: "We just lost the fucking round. I swear to God Joe if you're taking one of your fucking Biden naps again."
Joe Biden: "As a matter of fact I was taking a Biden nap. I'm about to carry your ass this next round."

A nap when one almost becomes comatose. Can fall asleep under any circumstances for a long period of time, to wake up highly disorientated, forgetting that they've been asleep and requesting "a map of august". The best form of napping, a completely chilled experience. Some have been known whilst in this state to spill a beer all over themselves, and still fail to wake up when vanish is sprayed all over them.

taking multiple short naps (usually ranging from 10-30 minutes) to avoid immediate work, which often results in an unintentionally long period of rest because the time wasted by the previous nap places so much stress on the napper that he or she perceives the need to nap again
"How is your work coming along?"
"I started working last night and wanted to get two papers done before going to bed. Then I got overwhelmed so I stress napped from 9 pm until 7 am."
"I should be studying but I'm stress napping"

When someone wakes up in the morning, but the body isn't fully rested. So, to compensate, the person takes a nap before actually starting their day.
Him: Hey babe you messaged me at 6am, but when I replied no response?
Her: Sorry babe, took my morning nap, but now I feel much better.
Him: Oh damn you're right, let me get my morning nap in as well! Talk to you soon.
