Also known as Souls-bourne fan syndrome, & DOOM fan syndrome

The term refers to individuals (commonly on reddit) who enjoy consuming edgy media not for the appreciation of the art but rather for a sense of superiority over those who don't consume or cannot handle it for personal reasons

These individuals are typically socially-unaware teenagers, with Berserk fans with this syndrome in particular making out-of-pocket rape jokes
