In one scene of the video, Dream receives a note from his doctor stating “You are NOT normal!”, along with a bottle of “Normal pills”, that he promptly throws away. The scene was intended to display how many people white ADHD elect to refuse their medication due to the side effects negatively affecting their lives. Unfortunately, inexperienced animators and an early deadline caused the final music video to be of atrocious quality and subject of many memes.
The intended message of the “Normal Pills” in mask is quite important, but it’s a shame that the execution was extremely fucking botched.
